Books your auditor can rely on
Posted entries are permanent
Sales, receipts, bills and journal entries can't be changed or deleted, only corrected by a reversal or credit note. The server refuses anything else.
A log nobody can rewrite
Every posting and every staff action is kept on the server in a chained log that shows at once if anything was edited or removed.
Auditor sign-in
Give your auditor a read-only access code that ends on the date you choose. They see and export everything and change nothing.
Your keys stay locked
M-Pesa, Pesapal and eTIMS keys are stored encrypted on the server, behind the account password, so no one can point payments at another till.
Before you start
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. Open the demo pharmacy: it's free, needs no account and has two branches of sample stock, sales and staff. When you're ready, choose a plan and create your own account.
How do I pay?
By M-Pesa (a prompt comes to your phone, you enter your PIN) or by card through Pesapal. Payment is taken when you create your account, and the plan starts straight away.
What do the add-ons do, and why are they one-off?
The M-Pesa API and Pesapal API connect DawaOS to your own till, paybill or Pesapal account, so customers pay at the counter or from a link and the sale or invoice is recorded by itself. The AI connection lets Claude, ChatGPT and similar apps read and work with your pharmacy's data. Each is a one-off activation, paid once.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, at any time from Settings → Plan & billing. When you move up, the unused days of your current plan count towards the new one.
What happens if my plan runs out?
You get 7 days to renew while everything keeps working. After that, your books stay safe and can still be opened and exported, but changes are not saved until you renew.
Is KRA eTIMS included?
Yes, on every plan: directly to KRA (OSCU), through an approved integrator, or by typing CU numbers from KRA's own app.
Does it work when the internet is down?
Yes. The till keeps selling offline and everything uploads when the connection is back. M-Pesa prompts, card payments and eTIMS signing need the internet and catch up when it returns.
